23 April 2017: It’s that fantastic time of year again when the Bluebells are in full bloom in St Anne’s Woods. Walking in from the Newbridge Road steps you are greeted by drifts of native bluebells up the banks on the valley.
On the floor of the valley you are greeted with the white colour and smell of flowering garlic.
Walking through the woodland towards St Anne’s Well, again you are greeted with drifts of bluebells on the side of the valley.
The final section of the woodland, following the path from St Anne’s Well to the St Anne’s entrance to the woods you find drifts of non-native bluebells, with various shades of violet, pink and white.
