2017 – Walk to the Source of Brislington Brook.

Group picture of everyone who completed the circular Walk to the Source of Brislington Brook. Taken by Simon Cawley.

The Annual Friends of Brislington Brook Walk to the Source started at Tesco Brislington, Callington Road, at 10am on 22 April 2017, a slightly overcast Saturday morning.

We followed the East Tributary of Brislington Brook through Brislington (West Town Lane area alongside Knowle Golf Course),  Stockwood (crossing Sturminster Road and along the Whitchurch Way cycle path),  Whitchurch (crossing the Wells Road and over Saltwell Viaduct heading towards Whitchurch Lane) to find the East Source on Dundry.

This year we stopped on a very sunny Maes Knoll for lunch before moving on round to find the West Source on Dundry.

We then followed the West Source back down stream through Whitchurch (Court Farm, Rookery Way over Whitchurch Land), Hengrove (Bamfield Road, and Whitchurch Air Field) towards Knowle (Airport Road, Wootton Park and past Callington Road Local Nature Reserve) arriving back to Tesco just after 4pm.

We would like to thank everyone who came along to join us and your very generous donations towards running future events. If you have any further pictures we would love to see them.
